SkyTop Lodge, PA-December, 2011: My husband and I attended a Yellow Ribbion ReIntergration program that welcomes home Army Reservist returning from deployment. It is design to give our soldiers and their family some needed down time as well as offering assistance with returning to school, the job market, help with money issuses, etc.
This event, the last one forcused on the soldier (though I did go with him) was held at the lovely SkyTop Lodge, in SkyTop, PA.

Autumn in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Even in the autumn, Williamsburge stills draws a crowd. During the day one can still find the folks of Williamsburg going about their daily busniess. The Fall harvest is being brought in, all pray that the crops were good. Even now one can smell the hot apple cider and hear in the distrance the crackling of wood in the heath.

We were suppose to leave today, but instead we are snowed in.

Snow in Virginia

During the weekend of Januray 29-31, 20010, Virgina recieved over eight inches of snow. Funny how I left Montana and the snowy mountains to be greeted with the white stuff here.

Basin, Montana

This is downtown Basin, Montana. We're just down the street.

Basin is about halfway between Butte and Helena. Basin Creek flows roughly north to south through Basin and enters the Boulder River on the settlement's south side. Basin rests above the Boulder Batholith, the host rock for many valuable mineral ores found in this part of Montana. After the town became a hub of gold and silver mining, Basin's population peaked at about 1,500 in first decade of the 20th century but gradually declined as the mines were depleted. Abandoned mining equipment, closed or barricaded mine portals, and the ruins of a smelter and ore concentrator remain in Basin in the 21st century.

Historic buildings from Basin's heyday form much of the core of the CDP's small business district, which includes a fire station, a post office, two restaurants, a bar, a commercial gallery, small specialty shops, and the nonprofit Montana Artists Refuge. Basin has a small elementary school, its own water system, and a low-power radio station. Local volunteers and elected trustees provide limited services to the settlement, but it relies on the government of Jefferson County, Montana, for law enforcement and other services.

Houses of Worship; The Chabad House

I love to take pictures of Houses of Worship. Both inside and out.

You can feel the awe, the holiness of G-d in a place where His Name is honoured,

His Word is lifted up.

This is the Chabad House, here in the center of Ghent.

The Chabad House, under the leadership of Rabbi Aaron Margolin, is Hasidic movement in Orthodox Judaim. The House serves the Jewish Community and often where Jews reconnect with who they are as Jews. Many begin their studies to become Jews here.

The building was once a Funeral Home. Now it is a Center of life. I hope one day to able to take pictures inside.

Mark and I are blessed live in not only one of the most amazing cities in the Untied States, but in one of the oldest as well as one of the most beautiful neighorhoods.
Ghent.
We live in an apartment building builded alittle over one hundred years ago. And most of the homes and buildings around us are atleast that old.
Some more so.
It is now Autumn here in Ghent.

When your married to a Happy Snapper you learn one of two things;

1.Become a Happy Snapper yourself.
2.Start wearing veils.
For whatever reason, I happen to be my beloved's favorite subject.
And honestly, he is mine. For I too enjoy capturing the beauty around me on film.
Of course that shall change if G-d ever blesses our home with children.
